Aspire Springfield will be hosting an Improv workshop on February 19th from 1-3 pm. There is no charge to attend and Third Coast Comedy Club instructor, Allison Summers.
As noted in her bio on Third Coast Comedy Club's website, Allison has some impressive chops in the comedy and improv world. She has trained with three of the most respected improv companies in the world, spending time with The Second City, iO ( improvOlympic), and UCB (Upright Citizens Brigade).
Improvisation is a very underrated craft in performance art. It is also becoming a very popular tool utilized by many corporations to build team morale as the craft emphasizes the importance of keen listening and considering every player's idea. Comedian Tina Fey gives her rules for improvisation in her 2009 autobiography, Bossypants.
Aspire is also planning on hosting a six-week improv class that will be led by Summers beginning March 26. Each class will begin at 1:00 pm and end by 3:00 pm.

Time-starved consumers are becoming more comfortable using credit and bank cards to make purchases from security-backed virtual retailers. They comparison shop over the Internet for the best quality and cost and purchase a range of goods from groceries to high-tech products. As the electronic-consumer trade continues to soar, business-to-business eCommerce will be even stronger. Many larger corporations have already mandated the use of online transactions to their downstream vendors. According to the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), the introduction of electronic commerce in federal contracting is moving ahead, and small business owners must adopt this new business strategy to remain fully competitive. Until recently, developing an eCommerce Web site meant dealing with multiple companies: one to develop the Web site, one for eCommerce integration, one to host the site, and yet another provider for secure payment processing. Newer technologies, however, are making it easier for business owners to get their online sites up and running. In this brief overview, we will learn more about eCommerce from both the B to C and the B 2 B perspective.
