Jan 27    Robertson County Players Open Call Auditions

The Robertson County Players are hosting open call auditions for 2017 production of The Haunting of Hill House By F. Andrew Leslie, from the novel by Shirley Jackson, Directed by Jodi Deal & Daniel Turner

Auditions January 27th (5:00 pm - 8:00 pm) and 28th (3:00 pm - 6:00 pm) in the Springfield High School Theatre (theatre entrance to the right side of the school). Cold read; head shots are welcome, but not required. 

ABOUT THE SHOW: 
A chilling and mystifying study in mounting terror in which a small group of "psychically receptive" people are brought together in Hill House, a brooding, mid-victorian mansion known as a place of evil and "contained ill will." 

PERFORMANCES: MARCH 17, 18, 24, 25

Most rehearsals will take place on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings starting January 31, 2017. Some weekend rehearsals will be required. 

CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS:
Eleanor Vance: female age 20-35
Awkward and psychologically fragile. Eleanor is the most susceptible to the activity associated with Hill House 

Mrs. Dudley: female age 40-60+
Hill house's humorless and inflexible caretaker. She only does what she agreed to do. 

Theodora: female age 25-35
Independent and self assured. Her bravado masks a genuine fear of Hill House

Mrs. Montague: female age 40+
Amateur spiritualist; her alternative approach conflicts with Dr Montague's scientific method. 

Luke: male age 20-35
Carefree future heir to Hill house. He is there under family obligation. 

Dr. Montague: male age 50+ 
Scientist playing host to the group in hopes of finding an explanation to the mystery at hill house. 

Arthur Parker: male age 30-40 
Mrs. Montague's friend and fellow spiritual enthusiast. "He drove"
