We know you’re ready to swipe that dust off those cowboy boots and polish those diamonds! The response from NorthCrest Hospice’s Night on the Town fundraiser at Smiley Hollow is just so spectacular, we just don’t want to ruin a good thing! So, for the third year in a row, it’s all about Denim & Diamonds!
This event will be held on Thursday, April 20th at the famous gem in our community, Smiley Hollow! That’s right! Grab your most comfy pair of jeans, a well-loved pair of boots, some flashy diamonds (honey, costume is just fine with us) and join us to support NorthCrest Hospice with the 13th Annual Night on the Town event!
NorthCrest Hospice serves Robertson County and 4 counties that border it. For 30 years, they have been allowing families to be together when they need it most… sharing final days in peace, comfort and dignity. NorthCrest Hospice realizes that care and support for the family does not end after the loss of a loved one. The care team works not only with their patients during their illness, but also follow the family up to a year to help them through the grieving process by providing grief support, grief counseling, pastoral counseling and a unique summer camp for grieving children called Camp TAG – currently in its 24th year. This year’s event will celebrate the best of our community’s rural heritage… Smiley’s Hollow’s legendary food stemming from the family’s recipes passed down through the years – chargrilled barbecued chicken, hickory smoked BBQ, and all the fixins. The stage will also feature something new for this event – a DJ that can play all the favorites and keep Smiley’s old wooden dance floor full!
We at NorthCrest Hospice realize that when faced with a terminal illness, many patients and family members may dwell on the imminent loss of life rather than making the most of the life that remains. NorthCrest Hospice helps patients reclaim the spirit of life. It helps them understand that even though death can lead to sadness, anger and pain, it can also lead to opportunities for reminiscence, laughter, reunion, and hope---hope that hospice will enable a patient to live his or her life to its fullest.
