The Robertson County Chamber of Commerce “2016 Leadership Class” invites you to SUPPORT THE ARTS IN OUR SCHOOLS!
Our chosen class project is to bring ART to 360 8th graders right here in Robertson County -- East Robertson High School, Jo Byrns High School and White House Heritage High School! Students will learn to create an acrylic painting on a 16x20” canvas, taught by the art teachers from Willow Oak Center for Arts & Learning. The scheduled May 2016 project will cost $1,600 ($4.45 per student).
THE ARTS ARE IMPORTANT! Studies show the arts have a very significant impact on children’s development. The National Endowment for the Arts states that youth engaged in the arts have better: academic outcomes, higher career goals, and are more civically engaged, development of motor skills, language development, decision making, visual learning, inventiveness, and cultural awareness.
HELP US EXPAND THE ART EXPERIENCE FOR THESE STUDENTS! Help them to find their creativity, enhance their skills and create their own painting masterpiece!
